Based on the info from the article and an assumption that the road surface friction coefficient is between 0.5 and 0.8, a rough calculation shows the car would be doing between 125 and 160 km/h.
{speed = square root of (30 x 426 feet x .8 friction coefficient) then times by 1.6 to convert to km/h}

A square root is a number that when multiplied by itself equals a given number. (eg the square root of 9 is 3 because 3 x 3 =9)

Truck lost its load Roe Hwy westbound on ramp Welshpool Rd. Crane there lifting it back on. Looked like a guillotine. 3 mike bike blocking road off.

ouch! That load fall off on Orrong Road is now strecthing traffic back to Leach Highway so take Tonkin Highway to avoid that area
