hey guys, is the Australian Federal Police on digital or conventional, as im having trouble tracking them

Encrypted conventional for the most part.

for your info, AFP are digital encrypted with a very small amount of clear analogue and digital transmissions ( 2% )

i know this as i have moved to perth from canberra and have Motorola Astro gear that was used to monitor them

For the short-term

AFP Protective Services (Airport / Diplomatic) are unencrypted however they are boring to listen too - not enough talk and too many codes!
