Ok, this one's got me guessing :? . Yesterday i was following OV100, a Falcon ute w/pod, for a while on the freeway. Firstly, i know 'O' is the Peel (Mandurah) District, but what station is 'OV'? And secondly, i was under the impression that '100' callsigns were for station (base) radios not vehicles. Is that not the case?

OV = Mundijong
And station base would be OV 010

...be a few new ideas rollin around soon...

Subaru WRX sedan in the process of being marked up and lightbar fitted...
Hilux with pod with a new set-up including lights being mounted on top of the pod with an amber rotator in the centre like you see on the mine fire vehicles...
Commodore ute with the streamline secure cage on the back (similar to K9) getting marked up - ex-VICPOL vehicle...
And a bunch of new command vehicles...

What is the reason for the amber light on a police vechile? Is this possibly for remote areas such as the north west. In case they need to attend a job inside a mine sight?
