Exciting news people! Just saw an article on 7 news update, that WAPol have released their new police car... Appears to be based on the SV6, hi-vis markings, great front/rear led lighting, new siren... Great move forward...

Priority 2 driver training will now be done on public roads,
Should improve skills, as opposed to a closed circuit with no
Pedestrians, cars, trucks etc. Refer media release at police.wa.gov.au
i think the P2 driver training being done on road now is a lot better than what we had to do.. only problem is there wont be any chance for recruits to get up to the 130km/h max speed limit allowed under P2, which we were able to do when it was on closed roads.... However i think the reality of driving in traffic under P2 conditions will be far more beneficial for recruits!!!
People call me an "Egotistic Jackass"... I prefer the term "Confident Donkey" --->Donks for short
Surely a combination of both public roads and closed track would be the best. Experience the randomness of dealing with the unexpected on public roads and experience the issues associated with high speed handling on the closed track.
