All Police Comms out

Guys just after the Thunderstorms rolled through Perth about 7:55am this morning - Police Communications went out for about 10minutes.. Im not sure if anyone has confirmed this....

Broadcast on 468.975 - To all vehicles - Comms out - for channel 34 and 56 - Keep you up dated...

Channel 2 and 8 completley out - VKI broadcasting now - but cannot hear them!!!

JC-500 is the only "online VKI" at the moment for Channel 8 and 2

Ok Guys, it definatley looks like - everything has crapped it self - Poor coppers - have to use Mobile Only - VKI apparantly was struck by the lightning....so yeah - keep you updated

I just got in 5min ago with all stations still out

I was driving when the storm went through, a few huge flashes and my scanner just went to static on all channels for 5min before it cut out, then cars started calling with no answer (ch 50, 21, 34) before it was realized that there was no VKI present.

From what I just heard on 47, power is out.. people joking that they havent paid the power bill *laugh*.

Reminds me of when the SJA tower got struck at there HQ last year and put them of air for a week or so. They had to fly someone in from over east to fix the system.

The Fremantle channel - looks ok for the moment and Channel 54 seems to be ok

Ok guys next update - A list will be broadcast shortly on the working channels - Which ones they are - i don't yet know - But i do know Kensington/Cannington Area to work ok not 100% - channel 2 and 8 - 21 still out...so will keep you updated...

I've got channel 2.
26 is also up, I think. My scanner is on it but I'm only getting static.
