Drove past this (is my route home) but it was cleaned up apart from a very bent TCL and glass everywhere. They were originally having trouble finding a vehicle to attend.
"VKI, NJ050 will you be attending the job?"

I can't believe I didn't even click that you typed TLC. The TCL needs some TLC now I bet!

Safety Issue

Post by jasonjag »

I would have thought under current legistation that people, ie such as police officers and Tow truck operators should, or would have to wear safty reflective vests at the scene of an accident. observing last night, a tow truck operater wearing leather sandals and no safety vest, and a police officer, both on the road at night time, neither were wearing apropiate safty gear??

I would, even if there was no legislation. I carry red cyalumes and cable ties in my car. Strap them to anything, including people if you need to.

So true, might as well worn thongs, if coppers did thier job, he should be ordered off the road and denied the tow, same goes for the cop, its part of thier uniform now and is comulsory to wear the safty jacket at all times.
I know that as factual.

Actually if the cop is taking control of the scene, that is road traffic control, then yes he does have to wear safety hi vis gear...at the very least to comply with OHS.

If injured while doing so without safety gear on, they would have a very hard time getting a compo claim accepted.

As for the towie....cowboy

All the ones I've seen have always worn them at night even as it's getting dusk a lot of them where the vest even in the car.
Is it compulsory for the bikes to where them all the time, I usually see them wearing them even during the day.
