Just curious why all WAPOL vehicles are Holden Commodores. From looking at the chart on here very few, if any at all, are Ford Falcon Sedans. Is their any reason why WAPOL only used Holden Sedans?
Here in NSW our fleet is 50/50. We then went more to commodore when they had the cage pack. Now apparently Ford have offered us a better deal, so majority of our sedan's are Ford Falcon Sedans.
Thanks for your replies,
Steve

Holdens / Fords ?
There's no such things as stupid questions, just stupid people!
As said over the past year(s) the Fords have come back on board. I do believe in the past few years before that there were no Ford Sedans, only the Utes with a cage on the back.

Able to help update them for us?? or would that be abuse of access or similar?danny wrote:Alot of the info on the charts here is not up to date.
There are alot more Fords now in the WAPOL fleet.
At HWY PATROL we have a 50/50 split of BF XR6T's and VE SV6's.
GD Cars consist of both VZ/VE Commodores and some vehicles are BF Falcons.

From the info I have heard the Police stopped using the Falcons when the BA was released as the 'new' gearbox in them wouldn't last too long under such conditions. The Commodore on the other had retained the same 4 speed auto from the VT until the VZ... Falcons are slowly on the way back now with the BF and BF MkII...
would not suprise me at all... BA's had the Tremec 4spd gearbox... they are as good as useless. The new 6Spd auto in the BF's are amazingsnapperv10 wrote:From the info I have heard the Police stopped using the Falcons when the BA was released as the 'new' gearbox in them wouldn't last too long under such conditions.
