Hey Guys, Last Night I saw a new "Unmarked" Police car @ the Burswood Entertainment Complex.
It was a Black VY Commodore, with 17" Alloys, and a Rear Spoiler.
On closer inspection I saw a LCD screen about 14" in their, as well as the RED/BLUE led lights @ the Front & The Back..
Because I was working and looking @ the car, one of the cops says to me, "Hey You Do Know that's one of Ours Dont ya" And im like, Yeah, "He was like, Dosent look like it hey" and i was like Nope.... (They had parked right in the middle of our hotel driveway)...
It had a Full Body Kit as well. Anyone else seen this car before?
New Police Car?

Nah. the MDT system along with the digital voice network will be running at 509Mhz, totally seperate from the current analogue network. Most data bursts you hear on the 469Mhz system are telemetry alarms from when the repeater isn't happy for some reason.Always RX wrote:could this be why ive been suddenly bombarded with screechy tones over the voice comms on 469.000 freo channel? data?

i had a chance to check out the MDT's while out at midland the other day.. Great bits of gear. Hopefully it will make tasking more efficent and the local plods lives abit easier.. Im all for advancment. Americans have had this for years. I think they have been using it for quite a while in NSW aswell.
Did you see it last night Damo?
The only way to distinguish the new SV6's is by the badge on the rear boot-lid.
None of the new Commodore range at all have the 'alloytec' badges on the side fender or the bump strips on the doors anymore.
Next time you see a new VZ have a look and you'll see what I mean.
cheers
