Major incident happening in West Perth on Channel 34, loads of vehicles going P2, told to turn off sirens before getting near. Looking at dedicating a channel to it. Units on scene requesting ballistic vests.
Wish I knew. All I know is one of our guys came back from lunch and said they've blocked off the roads.
Earlier around 1pm I saw two units parked on the sidewalk at the corner of Colin and Hay St with four cops standing together talking. I was wondering what they were doing there.
Not sure what is happening, 26 is quite, last I heard was GC639 saying to make sure sirens are turned off before arrival "we don't want this going off" not sure what they meant by that.
2:30PM (approx) GC113, GC107 and two unmarked black commodores on scene as well as ambulance and news. Four uniformed officers and one who looked like a detective (white shirt, black over vest).
Appartments on the corner of Hay St & Colin St are taped off.
A bystander said something about hostages and someone threating own life. <--- This could be complete BS though...
I'm trying to listen in, have you checked the special channels to see if there is anything more on this...can we possibly confirm if it was a hosatge situation or a steak out?
