Worker in hospital after bob cat accident

7th November 2007, 18:00 WST



A construction worker is in a serious condition in hospital today after being trapped under a bob cat for 45 minutes at a site in Shanklin Street in Wellard.

Emergency services received a call at 2pm this afternoon and it took two fire crews nearly half an hour to cut the man out from beneath the earth moving machine.

He has serious head injuries and was rushed to Perth after being initially admitted at Rockingham Hospital.

Crews responded were rockingham 1st,2nd hope valley and rescue 65.

Woman flown to hospital after accident

9th November 2007, 7:15 WST



A helicopter carrying a woman injured in a car roll-over in Sawyer’s Valley this morning has arrived at Royal Perth Hospital.

Ambulance officers said the woman was injured when the Suzuki sedan she was travelling in rolled over on the Great Eastern Highway about 80km north east of Perth about 5.30am today.

The accident happened near the intersection of the Highway and Lion Street.

Armadale first report semi v 10 tonne truck, both on there sides in ditch leaking diesel. No opersons trapped, rescue 65, freo 2nd both stood down with armadale 2nd normal rd with a large supply of soakerol (not sure of spelling)

Pretty sure I said they were responded. They were stood down 5 minutes after the call as were rockingham 2nd then Hope Valley 5 minutes later.
