From what i have gathered one of the key reasons for them to move to digital was so they can transmit confidential data without it being leached into the CB world. But how long after the changeover do you wanna bet someone will make a radio that can decrypt all the data and get it all working again? it might take ages and may be like computers starting from scratch... big bulky pieces of shit that make screeching noises and over heat if you run them for five minutes but its bound to happen eventually
