Saw on Ch7, Albany Hwy Bentley, Commissioner with his driver got side-swiped by another car it looked like. A nice lineup of TE, unmarked, plus other vehicles on the scene.

Hey Guys :)
Yep I saw it on the news, what a spin out.
Channel seven news said the guy drove through an intersection and into the commish's car.
Haha how's his luck! Of all the people it could've been. Incidently, the guy didn't know he hit the commish! :P
Lucky no one was badly injured, certainly looked like more than a little damage to the cars involved.
Wonder what the callsign of the cop car was.... Could it actually be AA something?! Hehe!

Guys not much publicity after the incident and the exclusive report on Channel 7......

From a reliable source - the unmarked police vehicle involved was AA100..

And yes - both parties were lucky to escape with slight cuts and bruises - very lucky - this could have been alot worse if the road conditions were different.

I'd be interested to know then if he uses AA100 when he goes out on patrol on a motorbike as he does on the odd occasion.

Nah... Vehicles have callsigns. He'd use whatever callsign was stuck to the top of the Microphone :-)

What I'd want to know is what regimental # he'd give to enquiries... I've never seen him wear regimental numbers on TV. Does he have one?

Absolutely he does! he's a serving police officer, he has a regimental number. If you were to meet him, and he was in uniform, his number would be clearly visible the same as any other officer.

Millsy, if i would have used the sheets from the callsign sheet of WARSUG, i would have made a full mention of it - But a Senior Detective from the South East Metro Branch - who is a family friend of my dad said so.
