jmmw,
If you haven't driven an SV6 how are you qualified to answer?
I have driven both althought it was only a BA mk11 XR6 and the rear end 'twitched' when pushed.
Plently of experience pushing a VZ SV6 to it's cornering limits and haven't come unstuck yet..
I'm sure Walksy/Ludy or CHEV will be able to give you a more experienced answer to which car handles the best...Although I have no doubt an XR6T craps all over an SV6 straight line.

Here's your answer:
As to which car is better, all depends on who's behind the wheel
I am sure I could find an Sv6 driver that could 'whip' a turbo driver
Both cars have their pros and cons. Turbo - great power and brakes but a little light in the arse end which can be troublesome at times. SV6 - good strong car, Ok brakes and handles like on rails...just doesn't have the pick up it needs.
Walks.

And not sure how you can compare a SV6 to a XR6T.....totally different cars, and the SV6 doesnt compare
If you havnt seen a VE SV6 how can you say they drive better?
I had the VZ SV6 and as I had to decide which car I wanted next I took the XR6 T out for a spin. Awesome in a straight line but I like the way the Holden handles. Rather have handles than speed when it comes down to the crunch.

You're partner did an admirable job of sucking it up and sounding as professional as he could whilst doing Mach 5..

XR6T will be getting R-Spec suspension package for police issue over east, no doubt it will appear here as well. R-Spec available only on 40th anniversary GT Flcon at present, increases handling by 60% on the track. SV6 may get supercharger next year a an option, police pack will have stage 2 supercharger if enough interest in it from police in all states.
