Road Traffic Act 1974

Post by Aztech »

Hey,
Does anyone have a Copy of the Road Traffic Act?

I'd be very intested to have a read of it, and its regulations. :S

You would think if we have to OBIDE by this ACT, it would be freely available on the Internet somewhere.

LOL..

Cheers

or http://www.slp.wa.gov.au/ .

Dont forget you have to read the 'regulations' in combination with the Act - they work together. Both are available at above site :)

I've often seen unmarked police cars clearly doing priority 2 speeds without flashing lights and sirens and do you know there's an exemption in the Road Traffic Code 2000 to actually allow them to do that if it's 'reasonable'?

Similarly, multanova operators have a list of exemptions (driving on the footpath, parking etc) that apply to them?

Some incredibly interesting stuff there when you read it.
