Was parked in the Wellington St carpark, in the secure section on the hospital side.

Marked BA Falcon ute with canopy on the rear.

Tom
This Ute belongs to the Vehicle Investigation Unit otherwise known as vehicle examiners.

Also the Police Escort Section is changing from TB10X to TE40X.

chrisssssssssss,

VF624 is a Mitsubishi Express secure van, I posted a pic of it on oz-pol last week.

Nothing like a ford transit van, same as GC112 and GC121.

I heard TP307 last night on the city channel - Who are they??? He was talking to VKI last night and said they are never on CAD - cause all they do is apparanlty visit hospitals all the time regarding MVA's with deaths.

Can anyone confirm who these guys are? Are they the one's that inform your family if you die in an accident??????

Hmmmmm...

The original callsign list that we have lists the TPs as:

TP10x - Video Support
TP20x - Radio Support
TP30x - Firearms Branch
TP40x - Coronial Inquiry
TP50x - Property Tracing

Firearms branch sounds a bit odd for doing hospital visits. I would have thought that would be more the scene of TP40x...

(Unless they had a dyslexic callsign moment :-) or the 300's and 400's have swapped ...)

OK folks, here's the updated list with information from the last page or two's worth of posts added. I hope I managed to capture it all ...

You'll notice that I haven't included information about individual vehicles. This is deliberate for two reasons 1) we'd need to update the list every time a vehicle got traded in and 2) it would make the list too long and complicated.

If people see the need for a "what is this vehicle" type list, then we can always start that as a separate project after this one's done :-)

Anyway, on to the current list changes:

CALLSIGNS TO ADD AFTER VERIFICATION:

  • AU101-102 : Unknown
    AU501-505 : SAS ?
    TB217 : Multanova Supervisor
    TB401-40x : Booze buses
TQ301-304 : Bike Education Unit (Is this TB126-130 renamed?)
    UQ100 : ROG Base
WT85x : Joondalup Police Academy Security
    XH31x : Unknown

CALLSIGNS VERIFIED AS CORRECT:

  • CD60x : Prison Unit
    Ax2xx : District traffic cars
    Ax25x : District crash car?
TE201-212 : Traffic Operations Group (Assume Cars)
    TE40x : Traffic Escort (Was TB10x)
TE700-7xx : Traffic Operations Group (Assume Bikes)
TK205 : Canine section drug detection dog
    UQ101-116 : Regional Operations Group
    UQ200-206 : Police Transit Unit
    UQ301-302 : Perth Watch House
    UQ60x : Regional Investigation Unit

REMOVE THESE STATIONS:

  • GN Nedlands
    NB Ballajura
    JS South Perth
    JV Victoria Park
    ZA Maylands
    ZJ Innaloo
    ZN North Perth

ADD THESE STATIONS:

  • HB Ballajura
    JK Kensington

VEHICLE CLASSIFICATIONS:

  • Class 1 - Fully marked Police Special
Class 2 - Unmarked Police Special
Class 3 - Vans, Motorcycles, etc
Class 4 - Vehicles with no lights or sirens and four wheel drives.
