Car V Tree - 1 male 316

Orrong Rd near Archer St early this morning. Speed was definately a factor. Car was split in 2. Another avoidable death on our roads.

What is it with people, this is really starting to shit me...

grow up people, you are not bullet proof...

Reminds me of something I read on the back of a car,
"Don't Drive Faster Than Your Guardian Angel Can Fly"

the person killed in this smash was a mate of mine, he was a good bloke, just made a terrible mistake.

I know his behavour on the road was unacceptable, but before people make a hard judgement on this, take a second to remember he has payed the ultimate punnishment.

Unfortunately we can't turn back the clock, so I personally hope this will at least serve a reminder to people, young and old, that no one is invinsible and to take due care when on the road.

I feel he made more than one that night. He took off from the Police earlier in the night after a cop by himself in a police car tried to pull him over near the casino.

He (your friend) passed me like I was standing still and blew a red light at high speed, and I guess the cop probably thought better of it than to try and chase him by himself due to his manner of driving.

I had a thought at the time there's one person who probably won't make it home and sadly I was right.

Some two and a half hours later I happend across the crash scene about two minutes after the crash.

The back of the car (same number plate) was approximately 50 metres from the rest of the car which was broken in two and on fire.

One should be thankful he didn't kill anyone else.

Too true, he made the choice to speed.

Bad outcome all the same.

Best wishes go out to you Dave
