Does any know...
...if there are any laws which stop people from operating scanners and/or transmitters whilst airborne?

Do you mean in a commercial passenger aircraft?Night_Ryder wrote:...if there are any laws which stop people from operating scanners and/or transmitters whilst airborne?
If so, then I don't *think* there's any specific laws banning use of a scanner in-flight. I've read somewhere that in the US, some airlines are quite happy for scanners to be used outside of the takeoff/landing phases.
However I also believe that it's a decision that's up to each airline company and/or pilot.
As for use of transmitters, no idea sorry.
If I've misinterpreted your question entirely, then you've just wasted 20 seconds reading a pointless reply

That's more than likely true, however I think it's more to do with company policy rather than an actual law. Either way, no is still no of courseAwk@night wrote:I am sorry for being misleading, private flights! I thought all trancivers were banned on Commercial light???
