Serious assault - Joondalup

Anyone see this on the news tonight?

Feel so bad for this guy. Young asian student - only been in Australia 1 week - was basically mugged and had a replica gun held to his head. His wallet was stolen which contained $4000 and the offenders ran away after dropping the gun.

Oh and that gun looked so real too - only reason I could tell it was a fake was because it broke on the ground when they dropped it.

People may say it was dumb of him to to carry that sort of money on him but I have been to a few countries and have done the same - seemed safer than leaving it in the hotel.

i never seen the story, but from what you've said, it isn't a very nice welcome to this country, shows how safe our country is getting.......

at least he is ok physically....still not the safe community we should be

The bashing is just harsh looking at the photo in todays paper but 4,000 to lose is just unlucky
