If you have an interest in Earthquakes and use Firefox there is an addon you can install that shows earthquakes on your browser and also
shakes the screen according to how severe it is. It is called equake alert.

The webpage for it shows it is not available to the latest Firefox so I don't know if because I installed it when using an earlier version
because it now still works in the latest but it displays the quakes and does not shake the screen.
