I'd like to see signatures but block the annoying animated images with-in them.
(Edit) Nevermind, I just remembered that I can block individual images with firefox.

Anyone know what the fluro-yellow cats eye's represent?
I know the blue ones designate a fire hydrant but I've been seeing these fluro ones popping up and can't see what they are for. I've seen the odd man hole near some but not all.

Installation of markers as part of traffic count program
[28 April 2011]
Main Roads has been running a trial of placing permanent markers are placed on the road to locate the position of counters as part of the traffic count program. The trial involved the installation of a reflective green/gold Raised Pavement Markers at count sites, along with a yellow count number painted on the road.
The implementation of such measures ensures consistency in the data we are collecting by standardising collection points across the State, as well as ensuring the safety of 'collectors' with high visibility of the sites.
Due to the success of the trial, we will be rolling out the permanent markers across all site that we count. The site selection is based on best practice for the technology, the requirement of the count, Occupational Health and Safety Requirements of the contractors and consideration is given to the impact on the general public.
Further information about traffic counting can be viewed on the Traffic Data page.

The years on each are old though, maybe the white ones are the temp installs that move around and the red ones are the 24/7 in place ones.

Re: Off-Topic thread for the Off-Topic forum
Probably a stupid question but what for? Are these the cord on the road counters (in which case why not use a GPS to locate and relocate them) or the people with the ticker counter?
