19 Year old blinded the PIC of a KLM aircraft (probably B747-400) on approach into Cleveland with a laser. The F/O took over and the landing was per normal. He then proceeded to point the laser at the police helecopter which tracked him until ground based officers could arrive on the scene. As we all assumed, its actually happened now, I hope he gets taken to the full extent of the legal system.
*grrrr* *steaming* :x :x :x one day this will cause a crash, and then what?

BTW, given the PAX onboard, most likley a F100/F70

I seem to recall GK posting about a similar incident happening in Perth. Polair hovered above the house and guided some squad cars in all while the laser was being shone at them

Call it attempted mass murder. It's well known how dangerous lasers can be. If the aircraft crashes then call it pre meditated murder, because the person has bought a laser and was intentionally shining it at the plane. If I was jury member for that case and they could prove it was that person then I'd say guilty.

At work, lasers are required to be treated like weapons. They are loaded if batteries are in. They are at instant if turned on
