Australian Casinos

I recently travelled through Johannesburg, South Africa, enroute to Zambia and I was amazed at the difference in the styles between Australian Casinos and casinos overseas. In Australia, it seems that the casinos are just about getting peoples money, however in Jo'burg the casion I went to, Monte's, was a whole new experience. This Casino was more about entertainment. It was a fake town inside a huge down with two different areas, one area was made to feel as though it was night time and the other made to feel as though it was day. It had atleast 6 different places to have dinner, it had rollercoasters, a 5 screen cinema and much more. Why dont we have places like this in Australia? Its a shame.

P.S. I won a fair bit of money there, hence the reason I paint it in a good light.

The Wrest Point in Hobart is the same as any Casino, went there last night - never win anything so see no reason to gamble. They do not have anything as sounding as nice as what's in Jo'Berg.

Oh is it? Not much can be done as it's in a tower shape, the circumfrence makes it impossible to expand, nice to know Tassie has such an old Casino.
