WA Radio Scanner Users' Group

Spun out tonight when i had a play with the new Google Stretveiw... you can virtually drive up and down any street anywhere and have a 360degree look around.... i found my house and could clearly see my car on the grass.... coul see my next door neighbor outside his house..


funny looking at the cafe strip in freo... the google car took the photos on a sunday verrrrry early.... you can tell this because you can see the council workers cleaning up a very messy cafe strip. lol

go to: http://www.google.com and type in "streetview"


be interesting to see if people can find any wapol, fesa or SJA vehicles..

My street didnt get done. they havent done some of the smaller streets. bummer wanted to see my house

Quicker to go http://maps.google.com.au and just type in Perth or a suburb etc

I knew it was on the cards but was also blown back that they seem to have gone to every inch of Aus (though there are obviously pockets missing).

apparently the WA Metro area was done sometime in November last year... my area (Melville) looks like it was all done on a sunday due to the fact th local shopping centre is deserted. hahaha

I saw a little black (hyundai?) car driving around full of crap with GPS antennaes all over the roof and a google maps sticker on the door. It must have been him.

Very cool, just downloaded the latest version of Google Earth and it is a lot easier to use in there I think
Photos of my house must of been taken in summer as everything is dead, and our driveway looks like crap!(hasn't changed in 30 years)

I noticed that as well (Not your house though :). Also... saw Jacaranda in bloom so a couple weeks before xmas & onwards.

And the Christmas decorations are all up in Perth City
