Alright guys, Who amongst us is prepared for the impending Zombie apocolypse?.
What plans do you have in place to survive?
Where do you plan on finding and stock piling food and weapons?
I don’t think I can stress how serious a topic this really is.
So here is your scenario.
You are at home watching tv/in car listening to radio and a news bulletin comes on. At exactly 1800 hrs AEST approx 50% of the eastern states population became Rage zombies. It is currently theorized that it is a genetic issue rather then an environmental issue, the zombie gene is triggered at 1800 hrs. It has taken 60 minutes for the news to make its way to you which gives you 60 minutes before Perth clocks hit 1800hrs.
In this 90 minutes you must organize yourself to survive to zombie apocalypse which could last anywhere between 3 months and 3 years.
Problems you face are
1. You have no idea who is going to become a zombie at 1800 so brothers/daughters/mums/best mates are all RISKS.
2. The Australian government wants you to die in the zombie apocalypse which is why the majority of people don’t have immediate access to firearms and such.
3. These are RAGE zombies so they don’t move slowly and only want to eat brains they will chase you down and eat you whole, they are hungry and they never tire nor give up easily.
Alright warsug what do you do?

I have the Max Brooks Zombie Survival Guide on my desk haha.
The virus Solanum is 100% Communicable
Did you know that Marco Polo while visiting china reported that he saw a live head in a jar which was moving, no one knows what happened with this.
I know the guy at the cockburn 2nd hand shop anyways if worse ever comes to worse haha.

My plan.
Who ever is at home we load up in the car and move to the local SES branch because
A: Decent sized landys/troopies to transport people and trailors to transport supplies
B: All vehicles have keys which I can access with minimal effort and time wastage
C: The Vehicles are in a big shed which can barricaded from looters/zombies giving us more time to load up supplies.
D: The shed has food supplies plenty of water and a welfare trailer to cook/store food.
Now that transport and short term survivability were organized after 1800 hrs I would try calling other friends/local family to check on their welfare and once locating surviving members I would arrange with them to be picked up.
Pick up would be organized so that members would wait for me on the roof of their homes, I would simply drive along side their house and the landys being as tall as they are it would be a simply matter of stepping of the roof onto the roof racks and maneuvering their way though the back door while on the move. This seems to me to be the safest way.
Once Landy is full of people the next task is to make our way to Swanbourne army base. If they are organized to accept refugees great they should be formulating plans and I can hang around with soldiers.
If they too have descended into chaos the next step is to stockpile weapons and supplies. Have someone in the group drive an army vehicle full of such supplies and head to south of perth yacht club as it has adequate security fences to provide at least some cover while transferring supplies from vehicle to boat.
Then I would take the boat/supplies/people to Garden island and hopefully meet up with an organized military force there, if not then maybe penguin island as its not heavily populated so any zombies can be killed and its not easily accessible to zombies who may try to invade.
At penguin island im sure there would be some limited agriculture to sustain 6-10 people and rain water tanks for fresh water. Anything else which is direly needed can be picked up on any future excursions to the mainland.
And that is my zombie apocalypse survival guide.

Rescue plans: None stay on my own or with those that i network with, as arnachy would rule i would avoid any large groups in case things went sour. The problem with travel unless you can obtain fuel at a secure depot without fear off being attacked travel by car/boat will be limited. I can drive about 900klms before running outta fuel as worst case scenario if i had to do a runner. But would seek shelter in a secure building with a small few and obtain the usual weapons which would be pretty much easy to get,
Have my trusty scanner on to see what was going on, keep the cb handy.
Water would be ok untill supplies were cut but id be storing and i live close to bunnings so getting gear would be in that plan (having down alot off survival training id be good on my own for a while)
Food: Id be raiding the neighbours and TRY to avoid being shot for looting
