Does anyone know a place where you can either buy/hire heaps (like 20) 30m extention cords in Perth? They can't cost more then $80 for the lot and are needed for 4 nights
Thanks

that's why i'm having problems finding it, i could bargin it down to 16 cords but then i'll need to start linking 5meter cords and that will look really bad and uneven.
they need to be between $4-$5 a cord

Give me a 96% discount and you've got a dealToottoot wrote:Im an electrician but theres no way I could get 600m of the appropriate cable for $80. You will be looking at more like $300 just for the cable. Then labour, plug tops, tagging etc. I would do it for $2000.

16 500W Lights each to a dimmer rack attached to a 4 phase power outlet (i thought it was easier bringing the power to the lights then moving the 4 phase power outlet)Toottoot wrote: What are you hooking up?
What is the leads configuration?
Is it for charity?
plus2 lighting consoles and 2 speakers
No it's not for charity
ok i expect you have tried the hire places. I dont really know where else you could try other than getting them made. We make up our own leads especially when we have jobs like that.
be careful joining too many together because the 10 amp leads have smaller cable and if it goes over too long a distance the internal cable will be too small. may have to go for the 15 amp leads even though the load may be less than 10 amps.

Just check whether you need three phase plus earth plus neutral! Trap for young players - you probably would for lighting.
Check current rating of the 3 phase outlet socket along with the rating of the plug on the dimmer unit too!!! A 20amp plug wont fit into a 15 amp outlet however a 15 amp plug will fit in a 20 amp outlet.
