TVSN Dissappeared off Optus C1?

Post by slipknot »

Hi guys,
i don't know about any of you but i quite much enjoy the way TVSN presents items and describes them, i just make a toasted bacon chese sandwich and just sit back and watch, especially the electronics shows.
but anyway, i can nolonger pick up TVSN on optus c1 for free, meaning without any satellite decoder cards.
i can still pick up expo but thats it.

oh and some new indigenous programs are now broadcasting.
Optus d1 is now i think broadcasting.
its funny how they make you pay for an official optus card for all the abc channels in AU on Optus c1 yet they don't on optus d1.

anyway , can anyone help me with the TVSN issue?
thanks.

if you wouldnt mind doing a test for me weather you have foxtel; satellite or cable OR Optus Aruora tv or just a satellite box tuned into the optus c1 sattellie free tv channels.

this test will proove weather everyone else is affected or its just my box.

step one.
tune into the TVSN Channel.

Step two.
take the card out of your satellite box, weather its a gold card, a foxtell card, or a optus aroura card. it dosnt matter what card you have, if you can recive the tvsn channel in colour, and you have a card , then this will work. if you have not a card in your box and you can recive tvsn , please tell me.

step three. take out the card and you should not get a blank screen saying "please insert smart card".
if you do , meaning you cant see tvsn without the card. well, it means everyone is effected.

in plain englsih, tune into the tvsn channel and pull out the card.
please tell me if your screen goes blank or weather its not effected.

Also try doing the same as above but with the expo channel , as that is one chanel i can recieve , this will test to see if there is a differnce between the two.

please also state the results of the experiment to me with:
if you have foxtell cable or satellite?
or if you have optus aroura ( gwn, ABC , Imarjua, seven central ect.)

Thanks guys. thanks for your time
