No. The news thread is for news that WARSUG members might be interested in **that have some relevance to radio or radio scanning** (that's the important test. Most of the "news" items here don't have anything at all to do with radios in any way shape or form...)

This particular snippet was mentioned on the WIA news broadcast on Sunday, which you can hear not only on a few amateur repeaters and frequencies around Perth, but also on one or two CB repeaters.

That's what made it relevant from the perspective of this thread - it had something to do with radio ... firstly because it was referencing an article mentioned on an amateur radio news broadcast and secondly because the jamming etc is done using ... radio :)
