Re: Qantas emergency Landing again
Yes "Smithy" I am aware of that, after reading other news storys on exactly what the problem was, a TV news coverage showed a bloke scrubbing the tarmac with degreaser to clean it up, it was the hydraulic Actuator Air Brake spoiler on the wing that was the problem.Smithy wrote:hydraulic leak matejasonjag wrote:Ch 10 news and 7 News Sat, reports a Qantas flight from Sydney to Manilya makes an emergency landing back at Sydney Airport, due to mechanical problems, it had and oil leak while Engineers worked on the problem whicj operates the landing gear and flaps, and Passengers were changed for another flight, 1700
Qantas confirmed the leak was not detected before the plane took off.
"On inspection, engineers determined that fluid was coming from the spoiler actuator that was not evident before departure," a Qantas spokeswoman told AAP.
The spoiler is situated on top of the wing to slow the aircraft down. The actuator is a mechanism which moves the spoiler.

Fesa Shortage
On the 7am radio news, the secretary for the fesa workers spokesperson said that that Fesa needed to get its act together due to the vast sprawl of Stations around the metro area, allowing respoce times to be far longer than allowable, meaning the house could be burnt to the ground before any apliance could respond in time, an example was Perth, Osborne Pk, Malaga and Basendean, had that whole area uncovered, for quick reponce times. they critisised the Minister for falling asleep during discussion times as he wasnt intereded in resolving the issue, 0700

We need smaller metro stations with something like a 2.4U to supplement the larger stationmsjasonjag wrote:On the 7am radio news, the secretary for the fesa workers spokesperson said that that Fesa needed to get its act together due to the vast sprawl of Stations around the metro area, allowing respoce times to be far longer than allowable, meaning the house could be burnt to the ground before any apliance could respond in time, an example was Perth, Osborne Pk, Malaga and Basendean, had that whole area uncovered, for quick reponce times. they critisised the Minister for falling asleep during discussion times as he wasnt intereded in resolving the issue, 0700
