Alan Parsons Collection

Post by auntys_eyes »

As much as i know that most of you won't give a s**t, and the rest of you will just chuckle politely, i still feel compelled to share my news, and here is as good a place as any.

After many years of searching and collecting (and i do literally mean years!!) i have finally managed to complete my collection of the entire back catalogue of Alan Parsons Project/Alan Parsons studio produced albums. This, of course, does not include the plethora of compilations, anthologies and 'Best of...' works.

Having finally aquired 'On Air' (1996), i now have all 15 Alan Parsons albums, including the 11 Alan Parsons Project albums and his 4 solo works.

Just thought i'd share. :)

I somehow knew this would happen .

Alan Parsons first gained fame as a music engineer, working for Abbey Road Studios, and engineered and mixed the Beatles' albums 'Let It Be' and 'Abbey Road' among others. His most notable work was engineering Pink Floyd's 'Dark Side Of The Moon'. He then formed a collaboration with Eric Woolfson to use leading session musicians to create a number of 'concept' albums under the name 'The Alan Parsons Project'. After 11 albums Parsons and Woolfson parted company and Alan has released 4 albums since, under his own name.
