Wandered around the old Subiaco Police Station the other day, it got me intrigued to take a few shots and dig through all my old photo's of what was Subiaco Station / Vehicles

Not so much a station but a glorified house

Well it initially started as a normal everyday house [same as wembly] as I understand then was acquired by WA Police for operation as a Police Station.

The City of Subiaco did offer the use of the building next door for the use, whilst the 'old' station was demolished and rebuilt but the government declined and went ahead with the plans of today.

Think it's sad to keep closing down the smaller police stations. It's part of the neighbourhood and a great way to maintain community policing. Wonder if the next elected Police Commissioner will reopen up smaller ones again. It works well in NSW!

Personally I think it would be better to demolish this one and builld a new one in place of it either at the same location or at another location nearby
