Scrub Fire and Melted Boots

Earlier this morning I arrived on scene of a small scrub fire that was developing on the side of the road. My 2lt water bottle was no match for this expanding scrub fire, so when my colleague turned up we started to smoother using spade & rake.

Unfortunately the fire was rapidly travelling underneath the mulch and fueling spot fires everywhere! So it was welcome sign of relief when Welshpool 2nd turned up and used the 35m hose.

Mulch fire, yawn. Only second to wheelie bin fires on the scale of excitement to turnout to.
