Leederville Incident 05/10/2010

Post by written_ficton »

Most of us know what happened here. I didn't get any pictures of the 'incident' but here are a few shots that may be of interest.

I do not think he was a serving officer. I believe he was a party of occupants of the train and was handed a high visability vest because of his location.

Good shots, Daglish 2nd was back on station by 1800 though as I went past the station around then and it was there. A day that I was glad I was on a bike, sad work for FRS, Police, Ambulance, Train Driver and passengers. It's never worth trying to cross the tracks to catch the train, it may well just catch you.

Could be off duty, on the way home...?
Sounds more likely. Any 'member of the public' would've been well and truly moved on...

Not correct, unless they were giving statements or a member of the deceased. There were officers talking to him with note books in hand so I am standing by statement from what I saw.

Maybe an off duty officer that was on the train? I expect if he was just a witness he'd have had the vest inside out and not been hanging around the side of a pump.
