New Urban Pump UP01

Recently our brigade organised a 'good will' visit from Midland FRS to show us the first new Urban Pump. I apologise for the quality of the pics, as using a flash with all of the reflective material is prohibitive and i didn't take a tripod with me.

The truck makes substantial use of High Intensity LED lighting throughout. Not just for the red/blues but almost every thing except the headlights and the light tower, including the lockers and operation panel. This has a major benefit to the electrical power requirements of the appliance.

Nice pictures there AE.

I too have the same problem when taking pictures in the dark, the reflective strips play havoc. I can usually get away by taking the flash off and upping the exposure a fraction and it works wonders, like the Leederville resturant fire.

Hope that helps?

i see from one of the side pics that they have the new draeger BA sets as well. We will be getting them the same time as the career guys at our station. and our refresher is getting changed to a conversion instead. Sounds like a good idea to me. Might happen when they get their new UP so Im not going to hold my breath lol

Thanks w_f. That's what i had done. The top pic is no flash, normal exposure and the rest are no flash, 2 stops over exposed. Still not enough to compensate for the slightly longer exposure time. Just have to take a tripod next time #-o .

nice looking new pump, also just curious how much hose is carried in the hose compartment at the rear of the pump in the fifth photo
