Nice shot of the ladder hinge there, and that's a pretty good idea of Kalamunda to choose one because it looks really cool and professional if done correctly.
For those not in the know, the ladder hinge allows the rescuers to keep the casualty reasonalbly level/flat for the duration of the rescue, the other common alternative is a ladder slide, which is slow but has the casualties feet lower than the head and so not ideal in some situations. However the hinge prevents a person escorting the casualty down slowly and thus no close by reassurance.

We demonstrated both techniques at the show.
We did the ladder slide early Saturday afternoon, reset the rig and did the hinge later in the day.
We only had 12 minutes allocated for each demo, so some of the ropes were pre-tied.

BTW, that's me at the top right of the ladder hinge in the pic.

Magnus, I was the announcer at the Show. I took those photos while Des was talking the crowd thru the demo.

Ahhh awesome. 12 min ain't long so yeah you would need to be ready for it.
