Its rather quite big, must be some skill driving that under fire call, i know i wouldn't like to be any where near it while it was responding...
Been around for the fire season, mixed up with the old Belmont ICV. There's photo's of it from the Success Hill fire.
Philby, the green flashing light is not always displayed. Not sure whether or not they have them fitted. At fires and searches I've noticed most people have the beacons off at Incident Control, unless incident control is being run from a pumper on the side of or on the fireground.

Great pics w_f.
I hate to be pedantic but it is in fact the 'POD Carrier' or 'POD Vehicle' (POD meaning Platform On Demand). The truck is a modified cab-chassis designed to take different PODs that are "winched" on for specific jobs (sort of like shipping containers). For this incident it has the 'Heavy Rescue/USAR Shoring' POD on board.
The USAR vehicle used to be an old Hino with a canopy back, but from memory i think it may now be a Landcruiser.

No onion, no garlic, no chilli, no pepper... NO POINT!!
All very impressive especially the FESA Incident Command vehicle. Looks fabulous. Would love to get a look inside. If only they had something like that up in the top end.

I can quote you that the USAR truck is still the Hino!
I was going to put platform on demand, but WARSUG have a limit on the headers. Hence USAR, it does say USAR on the side of the truck
Anyway, thanks for the heads up for the truck, it is appreciated. Our fellow WARGUG members have the ability to enjoy pictures that other members contributed!

...What is a essentially a modified sea container coming towards you under lights and sirens very quickly...not something I particularly want to experience.
Yes I realise the 2 USAR pods are custom built from scratch, but they're close enough to a sea container.
