Old Minesite Fire Truck

Check out this great old girl. Formerly based at the Kalgoorlie Nickel Smelter and called 'The Grunt', she is now housed at the Mining Hall of Fame in Kalgoorlie. Believe it or not it is a product of the Oshkosh Truck Corp.

i would imagine that for private enterprise fire trucks there is no time limit for when a truck is taken out of service, if it is maintained to an operational condition then its all good. common sense says that after a certain number of years service there is no point in trying to maintain an old truck so they must replace them.
