what are the fire trucks with amber and red lights?

Hi mate, do you have any examples? Where did you see one? What did it have on the side? was it red or white? Large 4000 litre tanker or a Land Cruiser with slip on tray?

I think he is refering to the DEC trucks, with the mini light bars, half amber half red.

i saw a nissan patrol ute on the freeway yesterday morning and it had a half red half orange beacon on top. it had government plates and GN 01 on the side. i think the tank was hidden behind the big toolboxes and it had a hose reel on the drivers side. also there was a speaker mounted above what looked to be the pump on the passenger side

seen on leach highway, melville. Sorry about the quality, i dont always have my digi camera on me so my phone will have to do...

light bar on top is clear all round, but must be all red or red/amber...am i right?

That's DEC red/magenta...same thing really sometimes you can hardly tell the difference!
