A NSW Ambulance Service paramedic motorcycle. He pulled up at the lights as we were waiting to cross.

would and paramedic be good on a bike, like yeah he can get there quick, but they cant transport patients?

The bikes are out there to be first responders, arrives before the ambo as it can get through traffic, he can then asses the patient before transport arrives. Perfect for inner city work.

Backing up Yorky on this one. The bikes can get through the city and start stabilising before the transport arrives. They can also get down into places like the underground stations and shops and cut minutes off getting the gear down there.

NSW Ambulance has a provisional strength of three bikes but I bet there would be more getting rebuilt every day.

NSW paramedics also have ambulance skidoos on the snow fields and these awesome big tracked ambulance things.
