New Ambo For Someone

Post by auntys_eyes »

Spotted this at a rust proofing workshop near our office. Possibly for a mining or industrial facility?

*scratches head while trying to work out where exactly it is.* ahh yep, it's amazing what you find when you park or walk around there. I missed a lot of that stuff though because of all the roadwork/construction work going on in that area.

This looks like something the company fire rescue safety would make for a mine site. It would be great to have one like that on a surface site. You try working on someone in the back of a Toyota PC. It is not fun with 2 people in the back trying to treat one. there is not a lot of room to move. The kind of Ambo would be no good at a underground mine.

fans to cool the air conditiong condensor, look on top of the fords at the front, and on the roof of the mercs at the rear, youll see them there as well, not quite vents Wes, look on the front of your new ute, you should have a engine fan between the engine and radiator, and maybe (some cars have them some dont) but they plant some extra fans on the front to help cool, specially if there has been a after market aircon fitted

they dont put them in the front of the radiator, like on normal vehicles, means more cold air for the radiator, even though the radiator is made for a truck, you can never over heat them, they are just so big for the size of the engine, i know tractors with smaller radiators

Hi All,

Its been a while since I logged on, so my apologies for being late on the uptake.
The Ambulance was built by Paull and Warner. They also build a smaller version for a Hilux cab-chassis.
I think they also built the patrol LT seen in town a few weeks ago.

Very likely an industrial site.

Cheers

Another new Ambulance for a mining or industrial facility. Taken in almost the exact same spot as the one above.

This unit is based in a Ford Ranger cab/chassis.
