Great shots!!!! I knew the SET's carried spares, and I figured it carried quite a few...but not that many! Thanks for sharing them all.

At least they'll know when it comes off!
Also helps identify who's path you're blocking, if you can read backwards

You can get part of them back at the end of the year.

Why have magnetic name plates?
Do the units move stations at all or is there another reason?

Yes, appliances in the metro area can be swapped over when they are needing servicing or repairs. Sometimes Brigades may get an extra appliance (ie Light Tanker) during summer from the fleet pool (O'Connor or Forrestfield, I'm not sure) so the magnetic ID helps in these cases.

particularly helps with services, because you can slap a magnet on the side and still identify the station. BFS trucks however if they get a loan one then they don't have anything or they have the name of the brigade that had it last. But yes last fire season there were a few calls for lost magentic name badges.

i think it is a good idea, especially working on a fireground, and you need to talk to another appliance near you, you can call them direct. plus know who you are working with
