GPS receivers do that sometimes. They are receiving very weak signals and can be influenced by other signals on nearby frequencies and by strong signals close by. It's only going to get worse. In the USA there is a new data network system on a nearby frequency that is capable of wiping out GPS a kilometre around the TX sites.
The GPS on my car connected to an APRS tracker has occasionally reported me driving several hundred metres away through peoples' houses. It has also reported me doing over 110kmph along West Coast Highway when I know I was doing 70.

Took this the other day, at first I thought he/she was stuck. But no, within a minute happily flew off.

Our work vans also have Satellite tracking and while going through the tracking log the other day it listed my vehicle driving around Osborne park at 2am for 5min even though my car was in my driveway 34 km away. 1 hour later it reported my car was doing 30Kmh somewhere in Pakistan? Maybe it was abducted by aliens? thankfully they returned it for me by the morning.

That new data network was blocked from using the nearby frequency so somebody came to their senses.

1/6 exposure, burnt through approx 400 shots with only 'two' being usable... Enjoy them as much as I did taking them.
