is there much difference between the Colorado and Rodeo.. I was assuming the rodeo superceeded to the Colorado...?

Isn't the Colorado the same thing but renamed due to trademark ownership or something like that?

Yes, apparently Isuzu own the name Rodeo. They want to get in the light 4WD market so will be selling the Rodeo as an Isuzu. Holden, owned by General Motors, have the name Colorado being sold in the US so have named the, made by Isuzu, 4WD as a Colorado.
