I have been given some photos from Merredin Police of today's derailment in Merredin that I'll put online here shortly if you like.

Last time Merredin VFRS went to a derailment in Hines Hill, they had two Code 90s and were there for 3 days.

Wasn't a pretty sight back then and some long hours spent by everyone. Looking at the photos it ain't far from that incident...not too far from the siding.

Many of the current MVFRS Members were there for the former incident and, being a former Member myself, I have seen the pics. As you said, not a pretty sight.

Does anyone know what engines were on this? I heard that they are building a run around line so they can move train while the line is being cleared and fixed. I also heard trains should be running by thursday.
