For a bit of a comparison, I thought I'd show you a model that has hit the markets in Europe. Nice and curvy...

The thought behind this all was to reduce emissions...the company states that this integrated concept saves 1-4 litres of fuel per 100k's when compared to lightbars.
Opinions?
New Sprinter Ambulance...Overseas
mate, ALL the blue lights are LED
The moduls are of German make, Haensch: http://www.fg-haensch.de/index.php?pare ... 5&idlang=2
And you'll hardly find green ambulances on European mainland. Different countries, different customs.

i'll be honest... i think that the whole module they put on the roof is UGLY... but i reallllllly like the front LEDs... they looked awesome in the video....
VERY eyecatching..
so all in all.. not too bad..
EDIT:: also is there any reason most European countries use the 'Mega-top' highroof version of the Sprinter, whereas we use the standard Sprinter.?!

People call me an "Egotistic Jackass"... I prefer the term "Confident Donkey" --->Donks for short
Yeah, it does take a bit of getting used to. But if it works (aerodynamics and Lightwise) - main thing. I actually quite like it now (mind you, haven't seen one in real life yet).
The whole ambulance system is different is Germany. there is more work done in the ambulance. The patient is stuck inside, paramedics and emergency doctors stand around the patient and work. Different mentality.
For example: Bakc in Germany our ambulance was called out to a high speed accident on one of the Autobahns. Got the patient inside, around her were: the ambulance crew (the two paramedics and me), the emergency doctor, her driver, and for a short while a policeman getting details. 6 people. Got a bit crowded
Both ways have their ups and downs. Just different.

I do quite like the flashing light sequence on the front of that ambulance.
Very eye-catching. You'd hope that even the most inattentive driver would notice THAT coming up behind them ... although to be honest I'm constantly amazed at what people DON'T see
