Red Light Bar on Taxi

Post by Ausrob »

I thought I read documentation that red/blue was limited to Emergency vehicles only?

Yeah and there's a taxi with a green lightbar...you'll probably find that light bar is rigged to the brakes lights and indicators and as such the red lights will be a steady on when braking. I do however think it's going a bit overboard.

Clearly marked as a taxi and does look very much like brake lights and indicators.

Good find but i see no issue.

I have actually been stuck behind this one on the road. The amber sections at the ends are linked to the indicators, and the red sections are linked to the brake lights.

I agree it is overkill, and it looks a bit stupid....

Probably find it's got alley lights mounted in the unit.

It just looks like an over sized version of the old white plastic ones that where on the roof of the old ford's mainly, had the brake light and indicators along with the alley lights for looking for house numbers.

Good work :D

The light bar is an actual light bar and not a new version of the old "bars" that taxis had with the indicators etc. The light bar is the same all around so obviously an attempt to do things on the cheap.

The FPA has emergency bars with orange on one side and red on the other.
