Saw this at the FTC. Does anyone know what it is(was) used for?

The red thing is a manifold - maybe from a high rise or shopping centre. Perhaps is portable for a major emergency if a large water main is available.

The yellow thing is a fireman.

i do not think its of a shopping center, or used with big water mains. as the couplings are the same as the scanna's suction line,

i belive that it is used in conjunction with a pod setup with a roll of 100mm hose,
it was setup that if a fire broke out in perth and the water mains were of, that you could use this and the pod 100mm setup and draw water from the swan river to any part of the perth cbd.

weather this is true or not im not to sure, but i have seen the 100mm pod setup.
