I saw the Police Rescue truck at Maylands Boat Ramp yesterday when I was going in the river. Looks like an American SWAT unit!!! I am not much of a browser of the Pictures thread, and I have tried typing in police rescue in the search term and didn't find much. Are there photos of it on here?

As stated on the side of the vehicle. WAPOL logo with POLICE RESCUE on it. Grey/black paint with white writing.

WAPOL call it a Tactical Assault and Rescue Vehicle so I assume TRG use it mainly.

The Bearcat was designed and built to WA Police specifications by Lenco Armoured Vehicles in Massachusetts, USA, at a cost of $A331, 000.

Yeah, and now I feel better that I wasn't seeing things a coupla weeks ago ! They unveiled another vehicle as well as the APRV, they now have a FCV (Forward Command Vehicle) - both with the latest comms gear to act as a control centre for emergencies and events. It can stream incident video from the scene, has geospatial mapping capabilities and "full remote access to WAPOL network".
