Here's a pic of the Diamond D-777 antenna I put up today:
All I gotta do now is save up for enough RG-213 to goo all the way back to the house. At the moment I can listen to the scanner on the back verandah, which is quite pleasant in this weather.
(Thanks for hosting the pic Gavin!)

It's always hard to find Diamond antenna info on the net, but this is a link for those who are interested.

Marto - what program do you use to record scanner audio? I use VRS and find it really easy and reliable.
So VRS - worth a look at?

I use VRS because it creates a new file for each transmission, with a time and date stamp so you can easily find what you are looking for (also very handy if you need to log audio for an emergency service organisation - nice to be able to go back and hear a distress call or how someone handled a situation etc). You can record upto 32 different inputs, you can upload the audio automatically to a webpage to monitor it remotely, many more options of audio compression than scanrec and more. Unfortunately it comes with a price....
