Gero pics (WAPOL and FRS)

Post by Tom »

Just got back from a couple of days relaxing in Gero.

Found a few WAPOL cars in the town, whilst exploring the town it's shops and places of interest. I bought a pair of Dr Martens for $70!! :D

Here's FG102 which I took from the HMAS Sydney memorial looking down. I had to edit this one slightly to conceal the officers faces.

Next is FG106 which was parked at the local Holden dealer.

Traffic car FG202.

The local police were kind enough to set-up a free vehicle inspection and the local Bunnings yesterday..We just happened to be driving past.

Here's FG202 again.

District traffic car..AF201. To be replaced by an XR6T the fellas told me.. This car certainly gets around a bit saw it about 15kms north of Eneabba on the way home...FG102 was a short distance behind.

Another MPHR like Albany's. Thanks Tom. Gero vollies are supposed to be getting an old Light Pumper soon as they only have a single cab GPA. The Mazda will be replaced by a Country Pumper as soon as practicable and they will retain the GPA.

Oh... this is my 800th post.

My wife is from Gero, and some of her family are still up there. My nephew is a mechanic at the Holden dealership and services all the Gero WAPol Holdens.

Dare I say it... "Shame about the face"?

(For those who are a tad younger there was a song with the title "Nice Legs, Shame About The Face" by Dave and the Deros in the 1980s)
