Post by Tom »

Few FRS and SES machines were on display.

Here's Daglish 2nd's MPHR.

Here's Perth 2nd from work. Perth No.3 is the newest addition to the FRS pump fleet it's also a MPHR (Multiple Purpose Heavy Rescue) although this wasn't on display when we were there.

ooooh so there were 2 different big red trucks out there...I saw one without a name, and then when I came back out there was Daglish 2nd on the doors, and they're magnetic so I presumed they'd just pulled them out from a compartment and stuck them on. Just noticed the rescue gear in the SES trailer, need to go have a look at that.

Great lot of shots Tom.

Doesn't MPHR stand for Medium Pumper Heavy Rescue? It's based on a Medium Pumper chassis.

Is that western rescue 'jiffy van' still an active vehicle? I couldn't help but notice that the radio it has is a very antiquated AWA RT-85 :-)
